Finger Joint Board

(1 customer review)

A finger joint, also known as a comb joint, is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary, interlocking profiles in two pieces of wood, which are then glued. The cross-section of the joint resembles the interlocking of fingers between two hands, hence the name finger joint.

Category:

Finger jointed boards are long tapered fingers that interlock to join two pieces of wood lengthwise as in commercial molding or side by side in panels. The finger-jointing technique used for production of the high-quality edge glued panels provides the same strength properties as any solid wood with the added benefit of dimensional stability. The result is a product that will stay straight even under the toughest climatic conditions. Three or more glued joints make each piece of quality panels resistant to wrap and twist. It can be used to make joinery material, beams, table tops, parquet flooring, Cabinet shutters, Wardrobe panels and Staircase panels.
